Manager Customer Service & Logistics

Oversees the daily processing of customer orders, responds to customer complaints, and communicates pricing, shipping information, and order information to customer. Oversees logistics services for domestic and sometimes international customers, manages inventory, orders materials, performs invoicing, and auditing of freight invoicing.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the customer service function.
Communicates pricing, product information, shipping dates and other appropriate order information to customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
Collects information and creates reports as required.
Addresses upper level issues with customers.
Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, insures positive employee relations and reviews the performance of employees.
May oversee or interface with scheduling and shipping/receiving.
Provide training and educational guidance to Logistic Coordinator, vendors, contractors and end users on development areas identified.
Provide customers with turn key monthly recycling and volume purchased activities report.
Investigates and resolved transit related issues and complaints involving, but not limited to freight costs, trailers, set-up and vendor/customer/end user concerns with minimal disruption in service.
May prepare quotation packets and price lists.
May perform and/or oversee inventory, payroll, human resources and other administrative functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Technical school or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
3- 5 years' experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Demonstrated skills in supervision, problem-solving and planning.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills-- verbal, written and presentation.
Knowledgeable of trucking and transportation industries.
Good customer service skills.
Experience with the transportation management function
Experience with account management with a logistics organization preferred
Communication, planning, and negotiating skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
