Trophy Assembler

Palos Sports, a leading distributor of physical education supplies to school districts, park districts, and Special Olympics programs throughout the United States, is seeking a Part-time Trophy Assembler. This is a permanent part-time position, Monday through Friday, hours are 8:00 am -2:00 pm. The position is located in our Palos Sports headquarters in Alsip, Illinois.
General Description:
Sets up and assembles components per specifications or instructions using a variety of large and small parts. Familiarity with assembly concepts, practices and procedures. Exercises judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to complete tasks according to accepted levels of quality. The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. This position also requires a solid, self-directed individual who can excel both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Part time employees earn accrued time off (8 paid hours earned for every 250 hours worked).
Work Experience Requirements:
Experience working in an office environment
Excellent time management skills
Ability to operate simple hand tools
Computer navigation skills and accurate typing skills
Math skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly of trophies and plaques of various sizes
Understanding of measurement techniques and instruments
Ability to use small hand tools
Learn how to operate engraving machines
Count and stock trophy department inventory
Effectively communicate with department manager and staff
Must be able to lift and move 50lb boxes
Show attention to detail
Understand proper safety etiquette
Perform other duties as assigned

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
