Account Director - Chicagoland Snack Segment





Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products.? We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world.? Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers.? While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world?s best-known companies.

Sales self-starter who is motivated to grown new business and to engage the steam in the aggressive growth snack business segment.? This position is responsible for maintaining account relationships with the current network of customers and establishing strategic alliances with other companies, to grow our product offering to our current and new clients. The focus of this position is to increase our company?s visibility with major accounts, which we currently have or potentially have significant business, and to seek new customers in the snack business segment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Align customers with Griffith Foods efforts for clean label snack seasonings and health and nutrition offerings.

  • Develop strategy to grow targeted accounts within the current territory

  • Implement strategy for development of new accounts in the snack segment in the mid-west.

  • Maintain and grow strong multi-functional relationships within territory?s customer base and create linkage between Griffith team members and our customer peers to understand customer value and deliver new sales opportunities.

  • Grow territory?s sales revenue and contribution margin through new business development, contract negotiation, product optimization and pricing.

    ? Embrace strategic and conceptual selling programs to effectively plan and communicate account strategy. Miller Heiman is our current tool.

    ? Organize sales tasks using CRM and other internal tools to plan sales activity, mange internal sales process documents and organize sales opportunities and drive new business.?

    ? Participate in company initiatives and task forces based on personal desires and motivations.

    ? Manage budgets, forecasts and spending within requirements.?

    ? Monitor and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

    Education & Experience:?


  • Bachelor?s degree and 3-5 years? related experience in food ingredient sales.

  • A minimum of 3 years of account experience with demonstrated success.

  • Food Science experience preferred, but not required.

  • Proven capability of organizing complex accounts and sales processes.

  • Position requires outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Travel in Midwest region for customer meetings at current and new accounts and participate in area trade shows. 50% travel required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.

  • Strategic selling skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
