Ideal candidate will be highly motivated mechanical industrial maintenance technicians who thrive in a heavy industrial environment and desire to achieve meaningful goals while growing professionally in a company committed to Safety and Quality.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Put safety first in all tasks and situations; comply with all Mill policies and procedures Work from prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, instructions, operations manuals, and manufacturer's manuals and specifications, to perform scheduled and emergency repairs Safely use material-handling equipment (chain falls; chokers; forklifts; mobile / house crane) Take direction from work order system and complete work, including all required paperwork/data entry Provide training to other technicians in areas of expertise Minimum Education Experience /
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED 5 years' experience in heavy industrial environment, journeyman-level experience as a millwright, pipe fitter, metal worker.
Thorough understanding of and compliance with codes and OSHA regulations, including arc flash, LO/TO, fall protection, hot work and job hazard analysis.
Basic Hydraulics & Pneumatics; Blue Print Reading Experience in rebuild and installation of the following:
Pumps and Agitator Gearboxes and Valves Experience installing the following:
Roll Bearing and Bearing Housing Seal and packing sole plates, concrete, leveling and alignment conveyors, tracking, drives, rolls and splicing Heavy rigging knowledge Welding and fabrication skills Industrial Pipefitting Preventative, Proactive and Predictive Maintenance knowledge Preferred
Qualifications:
Tig, Mig and Stick welding experience competent in light electrical work required to support mill needs Competent in lighting electrical work (480 volt or less) required to support mill needs Working Conditions:
