30 pm M - F We are seeking a skilled Tool Machinist to join our client's team in Alsip, IL.
You will play a key role in our manufacturing department by fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
Perform machining operations to fabricate tooling components with precision.
Maintain and repair existing tools, dies, and fixtures as needed.
Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot issues with tooling or machining processes and implement corrective actions.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate documentation of machining operations and quality inspection data.
Qualifications or Requirements:
Experience with a variety of machine tools and machining techniques.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of materials and machining properties.
Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
