Doubek Medical Supplies is a local, independently owned medical equipment provider in the business of fulfilling the home medical needs (supplies and equipment) of its patients, most of whom are located in the greater Chicagoland area.
We are currently seeking a full-time Billing and Collections Representative to join our team in Alsip, IL.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday day shift hours
Summary:
The Billing and Collections Representative will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to customers.
Essential Functions:
Process billing for all payors, including correcting billing claim rejectionWork denials, aging, open order, hold and convert-to-purchase reports for all payersDownload and post electronic paymentsContact Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party payers to resolve problems and questions that ariseAnswer customer and employee inquiriesAssist in the training of billing staffProcess customer chart reviewsPerform monthly customer chart auditProcess and post all client and insurance paymentsProcess insurance and client refundsProcess and post prior approval requests and notificationsWork on Brightree Collections DashboardCall Patients with outstanding private balances to collect payment or set-up payment planOther duties as assignedRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting preferredAt least two years of related experience required Medicare billing knowledge preferredExperience with Brightree software preferredProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customersExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailPowered by JazzHRAbout the Company:
