, a well-established and family-owned overhead crane manufacturer with over a century of experience, is seeking a skilled Industrial Control Panel Designer and builder to join our dynamic team.
Our company is dedicated to excellence in the manufacturing of overhead material handling equipment, and we are looking for a highly experienced individual to contribute to our growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical and control schematics and assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator consoles, variable speed drives, motor controls, and/or pneumatic controls.
Design and build industrial control panels and electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
Develop electrical circuits and wiring diagrams for various automation applications.
Write and design PLC programming for automation systems.
Assemble, install, and test control panels to ensure they meet industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical and control system issues.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial control panel building and electrical design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical schematic design.
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and control systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and engineering principles Experience with PLC programming and automation applications.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to analyze data and research to inform design decisions Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its regulations.
Knowledge of UL 508A standards for industrial control panels.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Formal electrical training or demonstrated on-the-job experience in the electrical field.
Demonstrated mechanical ability.
Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand tools and small power tools.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must be safety conscious.
