Summary:
Novolex is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Alsip, IL.
The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment in the plant, including manufacturing lines, power generation systems, cooling systems, and other facilities.
This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment in the plant, including manufacturing lines, power generation systems, cooling systems, and other facilities.
Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Install new equipment or repair existing equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance on electrical problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime as needed.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Ability to use hand tools such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.
Ability to work with small parts and large parts at the same time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Required Skills:
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
A Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a maintenance position is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
