Job Description:
Provides support for Greif production facilities as related to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes. The effort is to institutionalize and maintain the Greif Production System across production facilities in North America and (on occasion) to support other regions both inside and outside North America as required. Assists in institutionalizing and maintaining the Greif Production System. Key Responsibilities Serves as an expert related to lean manufacturing and its application within Greif IPS North America. Serves as an active educator on lean manufacturing for Greif continuous improvement and production personnel. Supports Greif's Center of Excellence by continually improving fit and use for production personnel to learn key lean principles. Diagnoses and prioritizes opportunities with plants in areas of labor savings, throughput improvement, yield improvement, and other operational cost reductions. Leads the implementation of identified opportunities within plant environments by working closely with plant personnel and plant continuous improvement teams. Facilitates and supports kaizen activities to identify and analyze operational improvement opportunities. Establishes and ensures the consistent use of performance management standards for Operational Excellence. Leverages experiences and shares best-demonstrated practices across the business unit. Supports other regions (both inside and outside North America) if the need arises for lean skills and support. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required. Engineering discipline preferred. Master's Degree preferred. 5 plus years in Manufacturing Operational management. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of operations and lean manufacturing tools and principles, Six Sigma Black Belt Certified a plus Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM), World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and continuous improvement experience is strongly preferred Strong analytical skills used to analyze processes and material flow and understand financial impact Strong interpersonal leadership skills to motivate others Manage change and embed continuous improvement culture Strong organizational and planning skills, extensive travel requirements.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Process Management, Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
